Pablo Santos is one of the main characters on Netflix's Spanish original series, Cable Girls. He is portrayed by Nico Romero.
Pablo is an accountant at the National Telephone Company. He soon falls in love with Marga Suárez who is a switchboard operator at the Telephone Company. After many attempts, he manages to propose to Marga and they get married.

Season 1[]
Pablo helps Marga retrieve her purse when a man steals it at night after a party at the National Telephone Company. She is unable to say anything to him then.
He starts calling her at the company but Marga lies to him saying that she is not Operator 47, but she is Operator 57. They continue talking on the phone and he asks her out to lunch as friends which she agrees to. but does not go, as she is nervous.
They finally met again in the filing room where they kiss, but some times later, Marga finds out that he has a girlfriend, Marisol.
Marga gets upset and stops talking to him while he tries to break up with Marisol, failing which led to Mario breaking up their relationship.
When Pablo tried to propose to Marga using cream puffs in the local bar, Marga's grandmother accidentally swallowed the ring that was lodged in Marga's cream puff as a surprise. She then gives him her ring, that Marga always admired, to propose to her.
All his attempts to propose are sabotaged by Marisol, who then asks Pablo to pretend to be her boyfriend and visit her father who is dying, but actually just has a tonsils operation. During that time, she steals the ring from Pablo's bag and tries it on. She is then unable to remove it. This breaks apart Marga and Pablo.
After some time they both get fed up of being alone, and at the strike at the National Telephone Company, he proposes to her and she says yes.

In "Chapter 41: Defeat", Marga gave to a son and he was named after Julio, Pablo's twin brother.

Marga met Pablo when she almost had her handbag stolen by a man. She sent him a love letter when she was drunk at a party one night. This led to Pablo reading it an calling her through the telephone line. Marga was very nervous and tried to not run into Pablo until he said that he wanted to see her and they arranged a date. When Marga arrived at the date, she saw Pablo sitting and had doubts so she ran off. After talking to Carlota, Pablo sends a fake note to Marga to pick up papers from a room. The room is dark and he appears saying that since she did not want to see him he shut the lights off. She says she is not the girl Pablo wants and Pablo assures her he wants her, this leads to them making out.
They had the odds against them, especially when Pablos girlfriend, Marisol came into the equation. Pablo planned to propose to Marga but Marisol did everything in her power to not allow it. After many failed attempts, Pablo proposes and Marga says yes. Marga goes through a depressive time when this happens and calls of the proposal. Pablo is heartbroken so he calls Margas grandmother and she comes and they finally decide to get married.
After Marga slept with Julio (she thought it was Pablo) and told Pablo what happened, Pablo could not get over it so they filed for a divorce. While Marga tried helping Sara break out of jail, Pablo helps and kisses her while he is putting away files. This is when they get back together.
After the prison break, they all drift away but Pablo and Marga stay together and open their own accounting business. Eight years later, during the Spanish war, Marga is pregnant with Pablo's child while he was charged to go to military.
In "Chapter 41: Defeat", Marga gave to a son and he was named after Julio, Pablo's twin brother.
Marisol[]
Marisol is Pablos ex-girlfriend and ex-fiance who is crazy. She wants to get him back and told Marga she would not stop until she got Pablo back.
